Cells Pg 9
Cells Pg 9
Similarities
1. Both
plant and animal cell have cytoplasm. Cytoplasm is a jelly-like substance which
fills up the cell and where many activities of the cell takes place.
2. Both
have cell membrane. Cell membrane is a semi-permeable thin layer around the
cell that controls movement of substances in and out of the cell.
Differences
Plant Cell
|
Animal Cell
|
Has chloroplasts.
Chloroplasts are tiny discs that contains the green pigment called
chlorophyll
|
Do not have chloroplast
|
Has cell wall. Cell
wall supports the cell and gives it a regular shape
|
Do not have cell wall
|
Cell is a
system because it is made of different parts (nucleus, cell membrane, etc) that
work together so the cell can perform its purpose/function.
